CT-Expo Light Pro Dark Edition app for iPhone and iPad

CT-Expo Light is a small but extremely powerful app for mobile devices based on the acknowledged CT-Expo dose evaluation software. It allows to calculate gender-specific effective doses (according to both ICRP 60 and ICRP 103) for a large variety of CT examinations (currently 40). In addition, doses for a total of 30 relevant organs and tissues can be assessed, too.

Dose calculation, which can be performed independent from the type of scanner, is based on 2560 specific conversion factors. Only the corresponding CTDIvol and DLP values, obtained either from the scanners console or from the examination report, are required.

The workflow is simple and straightforward:

1) Select the type of examination
2) Enter the CTDIvol and DLP values
3) Read the resulting dose values

The app is currently localized in 4 major languages (English, German, French and Japanese) and can alternatively be obtained in a different design (Classic edition held in classic grey table style).
